Composing Center:encourage interest and excellence in scholarly writing by all students that are undergraduate

The All-College Writing Contest is made to encourage interest and excellence in scholarly writing by all students that are undergraduate at the school. The competition is sponsored because of the Center that is writing and by faculty users from a number of procedures.

Students whoever documents winnings honors into the All-College Writing Contest make educational distinction respected at the Honors that is appropriate Convocation. Winning essays are posted in Lake Forest’s online book, Lake Forest Papers, and a cash is received by the winner prize.

All-College Writing Contest Rules

1. All Lake Forest College undergraduate students may engage.

2. Expository writing (no poetry or fiction) from any Lake Forest university program.

3. Just one entry per student might be submitted.

4. Entries must be submitted electronically.

5. No senior thesis can be granted the All-College writing award.

6. Papers are judged on quality of prose, usage of proof, and quality of argument.

7. Lake Forest university faculty people judge all documents using a blind review procedure.

8. Please follow these tips:

a. Title page will include the title that is paper’s your name (your name should appear just from the name web web page), additionally the program and teacher for who the paper had been written.

b. The title that is full show up on the initial web web page of text; a partial name should show up on all the other pages of text.

c. Quantity all text pages.

d. Double-space all text.
